Hey all,
Just saw Avengers yesterday and, yeah- IT WAS AWESOME!!! Definitely the best comic book superhero film that has been made thus far. They truly got just about everything right! And best of all, their was color to the film, no drab black leather (I'm looking at you X-men) with the exception of Nick Fury, and other places where it made sense. But yeah, no spoilers, no detailed synopsis. Just go see it- **legally** Money is the only language that Hollywood speaks, so when you support good films like this, I think it sends a message. I plan on seeing it again in theaters, which is rare for me.
In other movie news, the latest trailer for Prometheus looks good, I wasn't interested before- still not sure what all the buzz is about, but I may check it out! Amazing Spider-man is shaping up well I think, I wasn't a fan of the Raimi films (Organic Web shooter, lack of Spidey banter/ sense of humor among other things) so this one looks pretty good. Battleship looks like poop, I believe that entertainment can be silly or fun without being insulting and brainless- won't be seeing that. It also looks like they took scraps from the Transformers films and made a new film- boo.
Lastly, my long talked about comic is finally done! The first issue of "The Cowboy and the Goliath" is waiting for me at the post office, I can't wait to flip through it. I have worked long and hard to get this book finished, and though there was some procrastination early on I finally did it!
If you live in New York, it'll be available first next Saturday May 12th, at the Bronx Heroes Comic-con
[link] (taking place at the Bronx Museum of Art!!!). This is a small convention, but it is also free and who knows what gems you may find (including my book!). Afterwards I'll make it available to be purchased online and at select stores in Manhattan.
I am excited, and looking forward to creating more of these on a regular basis. I'll keep ya posted!
Stay tuned,
